How to Remove the ClickRank.ai WordPress Plugin
If you no longer wish to use ClickRank.ai on your WordPress website, you can remove the plugin in just a few clicks.
This guide will show you how to uninstall it and what happens to your SEO changes after removal.
Before You Remove the Plugin
- Permanent Changes Stay:
Since the WordPress plugin writes optimizations directly into your WordPress database, any SEO updates (titles, meta descriptions, alt text, etc.) that were already applied will remain even after you uninstall the plugin.
- Live Sync Stops:
Once removed, ClickRank will no longer send new optimizations to your WordPress dashboard.
Step-by-Step: Removing the Plugin
1. Deactivate the Plugin
- Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
- Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins.
- Find ClickRank.ai in the list.
- Click Deactivate.
2. Delete the Plugin
- After deactivation, click the Delete link under the ClickRank.ai plugin name.
- WordPress will ask you to confirm — click OK.
3. Remove from ClickRank Dashboard (Optional)
- Log in to your ClickRank.ai dashboard.
- Go to your website’s settings.
- Click Remove Site (optional — only if you want to stop tracking this site entirely in ClickRank).
What Happens After Removal?
- SEO changes remain: Any optimizations previously applied via the WordPress plugin stay live in your WordPress site.
- No new updates: ClickRank will not be able to apply new optimizations unless the plugin is reinstalled and reactivated.
- You can reconnect anytime: Simply reinstall the plugin and enter your activation key again to resume syncing.
